Last chart of the year! Before I say anything else, I just want to wish a sincere, heartfelt farewell to the greatest radio program of all time, The Best Show On WFMU, which will be ending next week. Tom Scharpling and Jon Wurster are heroes of mine, and two of the funniest people on the planet. I simply can't imagine the last decade of my life without this show. Thank you Tom, Jon, and everyone else who has contributed to the show. But mostly Tom Scharpling. Thank you.

OK, so here's some of my favorite albums of the year. Not complete, by any means, just stuff I listened to a lot. As you can probably tell, I love IDM every bit as much as I did in the '90s; Warp released 3 of my favorite albums of the year, µ-Ziq put out 3 excellent releases (especially XTEP) and I finally saw Squarepusher this year. Literally the only thing that could've made this year better for me would've been a new Aphex Twin record.
