this past week, Foxy Digitalis ceased publication. the site had been in existence since 2003, around the time Brad Rose and his wife Eden also started the Digitalis label. i'd been a fan of the site since i was in college, and somehow they let me start writing reviews for the site in 2008. i feel like i learned a ton about the underground/experimental music scene, both as a reader and a reviewer, and i'm sad that the site is gone now. but the site's staff is merging with that of Decoder, so we'll continue to give exposure to all sorts of weird music that nobody else talks about.

also, some band released a new album. i'm listening to the new Grouper, and honestly, i think it's way better. so there.
