uneventful thanksgiving, other than seeing Secret Twins at Woodruff's, and Jib Kidder (a former MD at our station) doing his annual thanksgiving show at Arbor Vitae (the loft above Wazoo Records), in which he sings and plays his songs accompanied by his mindblowing found-footage video collages. this weekend at Necto, we'll be having a 25th anniversary dance party for Crush Collision, our groundbreaking electronic mix show, of which i am currently a host. our other 2 current hosts, Zac Nichol and Tyler Carr, will be spinning, alongside oldschool CC alumni BMG (of legendary Detroit electro group Ectomorph) and Jeffrey Nothing. back in the day, this show had Drexciya, Autechre, Richie Hawtin, Underground Resistance, Derrick May, Carl Craig, and tons of other extremely important electronic groups and DJs, as guests. right here in our own WCBN studios.
