NYC was crazy this weekend. me and 6 other WCBN'ers packed into 2 cars and 2 hotel rooms (and a couple friends' houses) and ventured out into the city in the name of freeform. lots of excellent pizza was eaten, lots of terrible weather was sloshed through. i had way too little time to do anything, didn't get a chance to hang out with a bunch of friends, hung out with others for mere minutes, bought some old records from an ex-coworker who's moving to Buenos Aires, bought some stuff at PREX, Other Music and Academy (Williamsburg annex), saw Peaking Lights at some hole in the wall in Williamsburg and got 2 hours of sleep and was way too tired to spend an entire day at the WFMU record fair, but managed to snag some goodies. also, we stopped at a King's somewhere in PA and discovered the amazingness that is the Frownie. i'm really tired right now and am doing everything i can to not get sick. but i had a fun, busy, productive weekend!!!

What's happening folks? Had another great weekend and then I started feeling sick. So hopefully I'll be well by my Friday and Saturday gigs. Rocked at The Blind Pig with a sold out crowd for the Yela Wolf, Rittz, and DJ Craze show. I couldn't believe people were at sound check in lawn chairs waiting for doors to open 4 and a half hours early. But it was great to see Craze do his thing and the crowd was feeling it. I had rocked with Yela Wolf at a Slaughterhouse show a while ago and I've seen him put it down. And he killed it again and big shout to KP and the Ghetto Vision staff that was in the building. But Rittz if your not up on him, dude is dope kills it lyrically and is cool as hell. Craze told me dude was dope, but Rittz made sure there was no question when his set was over. Hopefully I'm feeling better but either way I'll be rocking Friday and Saturday night for Halloween.
