Had a great weekend and it's turning out to be a great week. Saw Raekwon, Ghostface, Cappadonna and Mobb Deep at St. Andrews Hall. And it was one of the best shows I've seen this year. It was a packed house top to bottom and they held it down. Shout to the fam DJ Symphony who did his thing for The Wu!!!! Not to be out done Royce tha 5' 9" rocked The Blind Pig last night. And if you know Royce he killed it and there were a lot of local celebs in the building. Great show and good to see all of the people who came out to support. *UPDATED WITH FULL TOP 50, SORRY I ENDED UP NOT POSTING ALL OF IT BEFORE*

so glad i didn't have to work today because this weekend was insane... saturday i went out to the Detroit Jazz Festival, which was great, but just as the Sun Ra Arkestra was scheduled to play it started pouring out of nowhere... they shut the electricity down and covered all the instruments.... but when it stopped raining the Arkestra came out and played an unamplified 25 minute set anyway and it was incredible. and then last night was the Rephlex 20th anniversary show, in Ypsilanti of all places. everyone who was supposed to fly from overseas to play this couldn't make it (it was supposed to be a mini-tour but gradually the other dates all got cancelled), but at least we still got Soundmurderer & SK1, Wisp and Bogdan Raczynski. it was the most insane show i've been to since college (back when i was going to tons of crazy basement breakcore shows) and my body is still sore because i was moving around so much. i've been waiting to see Bogdan since his first album came out in the late '90s and he absolutely sabotaged. unbelievable.
