Rest in peace Mark E. Smith. He wasn't in best health in recent years so it shouldn't come as too much of a shock that he's passed, but I still have a hard time believing he's really gone, I always felt like he was always going to beat the odds and be around forever. The Fall were one of those bands that I got heavily into in high school but couldn't even try to talk to anyone about because there's no way anyone I knew would understand (see also Half Japanese). At least I got to see them once in Brooklyn and I might even still have the shirt I bought at the show somewhere. I played a solid 2 hours of the Fall/MES on my show the other night and could've kept going but I had tons of other stuff to get to.
