First off, a dear farewell (and happy birthday!) to our former general manager Heidi Madagame, who is moving to Berlin to be an opera singer. We will all miss you Heidi!

Second, I drove to Chicago yesterday to see Negativland. I talked with Peter Conheim and Mark Hosler about freeform radio and how Negativland has been a huge influence on me over the years. Also, Steev Hise was doing video projections for their performance, and he used to be a DJ here at WCBN, so I talked with him a bunch too. 

Third, our DJs are really digging the new Shigeto album, on our Ann Arbor neighbors Ghostly International. Shigeto actually played live on our own local music show this year during our fundraising drive, and then he played an incredible set at DEMF a few months ago.
